2012 Altoona Trip

Every year we try to catch a Curve game in Altoona, and we were able to go to one this past Wednesday. Brendan and myself were the only members of the blog to make it this year. The Curve defeated the Bowie Baysox 7-4. Curve infielder Drew Maggi went 2-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs. Outfielder Quincy Latimore also had a great game, going 3-4 with a double and two RBIs. It was the last game in the minors for Bowie infielder Manny Machado. He was called up to the Orioles the next day. We took some pictures and you can see them after the jump.

Towards the end of the game, a girl got hurt while participating in one of the between-inning contests they have on the field. She tripped during the "Build a Burger" game, landed on her neck and was carried off on a stretcher. Luckily, it was just a precaution and she's OK. [Altoona Mirror]
